Our History

How It Started
As the official representative for the Olympic movement, the Jamaica Olympic Association has been a builder of legends since 1948 when we participated in our first Olympics in London and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games . Jamaica has also participated in the Winter Olympic Games since 1988, with the Jamaica national bobsleigh team achieving some fame.
