Colin Bradford

Athlete Bio:

Colin Bradford is a highly respected Jamaican sprinter known for his performances in the 200m and 4x400m relay at the 1976 and 1980 Summer Olympics. Born in Saint Catherine, Jamaica, Bradford began gaining international recognition in 1974, when he earned two bronze medals at the CARIFTA Games in the 100m and 200m events for under-20 athletes. His strong performances continued through the 1970s, highlighted by his participation in two Olympic Games and numerous regional competitions.

At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Bradford reached the 200m final, finishing in 7th place, and helped Jamaica to a 5th place finish in the 4x400m relay. He returned for the 1980 Moscow Olympics, where he competed in three events: the 200m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay, though he was eliminated in the early rounds of each.

Bradford also had significant success at the Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games, earning medals in relay events and establishing himself as a consistent performer in Jamaican athletics. In addition, he claimed gold medals in the 400m and 4x400m relay at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games. His career also included participation in IAAF World Championships.
