Keith Gardner is a versatile Jamaican sprinter and hurdler who made a significant mark in athletics during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Gardner excelled in both sprinting and hurdling events, showcasing his remarkable athletic range. He attended Calabar High School before moving on to the University of Nebraska, where he further developed his skills and achieved success in both track and field.

Gardner represented Jamaica in three Olympic Games (1952, 1956, and 1960), competing in both sprints and hurdles. His greatest international successes came in the Pan American Games, where he secured multiple medals, including two golds in the 110m hurdles and the 4x400m relay at the 1959 Games in Chicago. Gardner was known for his speed, agility, and his ability to seamlessly transition between hurdles and flat sprints.
